Bobbi Bear

Did you know that one child is raped in South Africa every three minutes.
This means that about 530 child rapes take place every day.

The Nanny Recruit has started collections to assist a NPO called Bobbi Bear. Bobbi Bear, which was founded in July 2000, now have a place of safety for rape and abused victims and provide the necessary day to day day care and therapy, counselling amongst many other things.

Being a non profit organization, their funding all comes in from the community and it can be quite daunting.

The Nanny Recruit collects various donations on the behalf of Bobbi Bear and its special children.
We are looking for donations of clothing, shoes, toys, books, etc.

Bobbi Bear also have "bags" that each child receives.
There are four different types of bags.
A rape bag
A baby bag (for abandoned babies)
A court bag (children sit at court from early in the morning until late afternoon)
An overnight bag (this bag is packed for children when removed out of "risk" situations, and they are then placed with a family for a few days until a more permanent placement is found)

The basic items in each bag includes:
drawstring bags
surgical gloves/underwear
plasters
tissues
sanitary pads
pens
notebooks
permanent markers (to mark abuse on the bears)
cool drinks
chips
sweets
cuddle toys
baby goods (nappies, savlon, face cloth, baby bottles, cot blankets)
crayons
toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, etc)

If you would like to assist such a worthy cause and help make a difference for children, please inbox us , email us on thenannyrecruit@gmail.com or call us on 0613391056.

Brothers for Life/Sisters for Life

The Brothers for Life and the Sisters for Life are registered non profit organizations that comprise of a group of compassionate individuals that are against women and child abuse, raped and/or bullied.

"What does it mean to a Brother For Life (BFL) or a Sister For Life (SFL)?
It means that when we take on a case and help our victims become survivors. It does not mean that we come and sort out the case and move on. We don't work that way. We become ur family. Like it says Brothers For Life or Sisters For Life. We will always be their when u need us. For Life."

- Co Founder, International President of Brothers for Life

They have many members all over South Africa well as internationally.

They try to assist victims with donations and rasie funds too
